Boys Powerlifting takes 1st at the YOE Invitational

The Belton Boys Powerlifting Team starts off the season with 1st place finish!

The Belton Tigers traveled to Cameron to compete in the 2017 Cameron Yoe Invitational powerlifting meet on Saturday, January 7.

In the 123 weight class:

Marques Aguilar took 2nd place, with a total of 665 lbs.

In the 132 weight class:

Santi Ortega Piedrahita took 1st place, with a personal best total of 680 lbs.

Devonte Beasely took 4th place, with a total of 670 lbs.

In the 148 weight class:

Brendan Hunt took 2nd place, with a total of 970 lbs.

Christian Castillo took 3rd place, with a total of 875 lbs.

Patrick Frazho took 4th place, with a total of 805 lbs.

In the 181 weight class:

Caison Schurr took 4th place, with a total of 910 lbs.

Joe Shuler took 5th place, with a total of 880 lbs.

In the 198 weight class:

Chet Ligon took 3rd place, with a total of 1050 lbs.

Mitchell Dunahoo took 4th place, with a total of 1025 lbs.

Justin Buuck took 5th place, with a total of 990 lbs.

In the 220 weight class:

Jerry Leyba took 1st place, with a total 1420 lbs.

John Harvey took 3rd place, with a total of 1230 lbs.

In the 242 weight class:

Auturo Jaimes took 1st place, with a total of 1410 lbs.

In the 275 weight class:

Will Drake took 3rd place, with a total of 1170 lbs.

Sidney Sherwood took 5th place, with a total of 980 lbs.

In the SHW weight class:

Javon Chambers took 1st place, with a total 1560 lbs.

Belton took 1st place as a team with 46 points scored. Its a great way to start of the season!  The Tigers will be in action again in two weeks, when they compete at home in the BELTON TIGER INVITATIONAL.

The Belton Tiger Invitational will take place at Lake Belton Middle School on Saturday Jan 21st.
