Lady Tigers Powerlifting dominates at Wildcat Invitational

The Belton Lady Tigers Powerlifting team made the trip over to Temple High School for the 2017 Wildcats Invitational.

On the seven-team girl’s side, the Tigers placed first with a total of 80 points, 43 more than Copperas Cove (41). Temple finished third with 25 points, followed by Waco Midway (23), Gatesville (20) and Cameron Yoe (3).

Belton won 10 of the 12 weight classes. They did not have a participant in the 97 class and they took second in the 259 class.

Here were the Belton top five finishers:

105 Class: Arianna Garcia, first place (Lifter of the Meet, 97-148 Classes), 660 total pounds (275 squat, 130 bench, 255 dead lift), and Anastasia Pflaum, 550 total pounds (230-105-215).

114 Class: Zaria Hardy, first place, 580 total pounds (220-130-230).

123 Class: Devion English, first place, 735 total pounds (255-175-305), and Maria Martinez, second place, 735 total pounds (285-135-315).

132 Class: Dana Young, first place, 785 total pounds (300-185-300).

148 Class: McKenna Thompson, first place, 715 total pounds (275-140-300).

165 Class Maggie Dolan, first place, 745 total pounds (300-135-310), and Rylee Pratt, fifth place, 540 total pounds (200-105-235).

181 Class: Izzy Gutierrez, first place, 790 total pounds (315-160-315), and Morgan Callin, second place, 765 total pounds (300-155-310).

198 Class: Kailey Hobson, first place, 785 total pounds (325-170-290), Keelie Cheek, third place, 665 total pounds (285-120-260), and Betty Hernandez, fifth place, 650 total pounds (280-95-275).

220 Class: Alicia Goodridge, first place, 795 total pounds (345-150-300), and Alayna Powell, third place, 575 total pounds (235-115-225).

259 Class: Serenety Yates, second place, 790 total pounds (300-190-300), and Kaylee Hausam, fourth place, 775 total pounds (305-145-325).

259+ Class: Montana George, first place, 710 total pounds (285-120-305), and Haley Boydstun, second place, 565 total pounds (215-115-235).

Belton will travel to Midway for the Panther Invitational on Thursday, Feb. 16.
