40th Annual A&M Tournament turns into a 2-way battle between TIGER ONE and Mansfield

Oct. 27-28, 2017,

Even though the cold weather and the wind were the real winners at the 40th Annual A&M Consolidated Fall Invitational @ Pebble Creek Country Club, after Day 1 it was clear that the 18 team event had become a two way battle between two of the state’s 6A Golf powers, Mansfield and Belton.  The two teams played head to head each day while the rest of the tournament field tried to stay in striking distance.

This time when all players were in and everything was said and done, Mansfield had bested the (Paysse-less) TIGER ONE team by 11 shots, but it seems pretty obvious that the two teams will most certainly meet again in the Spring when it really matters.

Freshman Dallas Hankamer led TIGER ONE’s effort posting 77- 80.  Sophomore Trent Tepera carded 82-77.  Other TIGER ONE players were Juniors Hank Payne, Preston Pratt, and Logan Hoelscher

TIGER TWO also played in the event, and finished in 8th place.  Sophomore Blake Payne led their effort with scores of 83-77.  Other TIGER TWO players were Sophomores Peyton Woytek and Ruffin White, freshman A.J. So, and junior Nathaniel Woods.

TIGER ONE and TIGER TWO will be back in action next weekend at the Central Texas Shoot- Out at Cottonwood Creek in Waco.
