Multiple Teams · Regional Swim Meet Review

Wow! We are not sure there are enough words to describe the awesomeness that took place this weekend at the Regional Meet! Not only did we break 8 school records over the course of the weekend, but we qualified for State in 3 events!!

This is the first year in Belton Swimming history that we have had a female Regional Champion! The Girls 200 FR Relay, consisting of Kelsey Johnson, Maddie Finley, Savannah Henry, and Maggie Murphy, edged out Southlake Carroll for the win and a new school record. Then we won the next event, Boys 100 BK, with Noah Henry. Shortly after that, in the Girls 100 BR, Kelsey Johnson won from the outside lane, breaking her school record.

We had so many other great swims from all of our swimmers that we couldn’t have been happier with! The hard work that they all have put in this season and last showed tremendously. It was a great last meet for many of our Seniors and we are so thankful for everything they have put into the team!

Thank you to Dr. duBois and Mr. York for cheering us on in the stands! Also, thank you to all of the parents who came out to cheer us on! It was definitely a RED DAY!!! ‪#‎TigerTough‬ ‪#‎ITSAREDDAY‬ ‪#‎GoBigRed
