Brey York is a 3 year starting Varsity player. She excelled in the classroom and on the court. Brey worked very hard at learning what it meant to be a good team leader. She set the tone at practice with her work ethic, encouraging attitude, and coachability.   She is a person of high character putting a great emphasis on doing things right even when it is hard. Brey is always willing to help a friend, no matter how big or small the request. She always takes responsibility for her actions, working hard to become better as an athlete and also as a person. It has been a true privilege watching her grow into the athlete, team mate, friend and person that she is today.

Trent Stafford – Temple College – Baseball

Trent Stafford has been a huge part of our success over the past three years. Trent has been a duel threat on the baseball field.  Whenever you have a talent like Trent’s that can add power and a plus arm in the outfield and be just as valuable on the mound, you have a great player.  Trent is not just great on the field, but he is just as great in the classroom and in the community.  On the field, Trent has been part of two district championships and he’s leading the way in 2016 as we make another run at a District Championship and the play offs.

Trent was an honorable mention award winner in 2014, 2nd Team All District and 2nd Team Super Centex  in 2015.  Trent has always been a leader on the field with unbelievable work ethic and has always been that player that loves to listen, make adjustments, and spend the extra time after practice to work on his game.  All great qualities that will make him a great player at the college level.  We are very excited for Trent’s future and we are equally excited that he is playing college baseball near home at Temple College.  I cannot explain how proud we are of Trent and wish him nothing but the best.  He will be missed!

Abigail Kendall – Hardin Simmons University – Tennis

Abigail Kendall

Abigail has been a true pleasure to coach. Abigail is a 4 year varsity letterman, made it to regionals twice in team tennis, has been a 4 year All-District selection, this year she was a 1st team All-District selection in singles and doubles. She is an individual that comes to practice every day willing to work hard and improve.

No matter, what we are working on or the conditions that we are faced with. Every day she comes out with a great attitude that reflects on her teammates and everyone around her. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Abigail during my time here and I know she will continue to work hard and continue to improve in college.

Please join us in the weight room of the Athletic Complex on Wednesday April 13th at 4:00 p.m. To celebrate these fine young student athletes and their success both on and of the field!
