The lady tigers played an intense match up against the midway panthers tonight at their home field. After tying the panthers at their last face off, the lady tigers came in hungry for a win. The girls came out with intensity and aggressive play from the first whistle. LTS moved the ball well, stringing passes together and maintaining possession. Our forwards were making amazing diagonal runs across the field and the midfielders kept finding their feet. With the Lady Tigers constantly attacking it was only a matter of time until the ball found the back of the net. The lone goal of the game came from a cross from Rachel Ramm to Emma Stinson who flicked it on into the net. The first half ended with the lady Tigers up 1-0.
The girls picked up in the second half right where they left off. The Lady Tigers continued to move the ball and play aggressive. The Lts defense played lights out and kept the ball out of the back of the net. Harlie Wiley was shutting down her player defending as a marking back and Erica Anderson was cleaning up shop in the back as our sweeper. Gracie Green had an amazing reflex save to keep the midway panthers at zero. The lady tigers played with heart and played as one single unit tonight. It was truly an amazing game to watch! With this 1-0 win over midway, the lady tigers continue their fight for their 13th consecutive district title!
