Tuesday night 10/17, the Belton High Swim Teams had split results in a very competitive dual meet with A&M Consolidated. The girls went into the meet with the times on paper having A&M win the meet by 24. Due to winning many close races, the Belton girls won the meet by 70 points 174-104. The guys team went into the meet with on paper, A&M winning the meet by 76 points. Again due to winning a lot of close races, the guys ended up losing the meet by only 54 points 167-113. Many of the swimmers achieved best times in the meet. It was a great example of the swimmers using the skills they have been practicing to win close races. Several of the swims were close to school records. The Outstanding Swimmers of the Meet were Madeline Finley and Kaysi Seeger for the girls, and Pastor Bazan and Darius Maclean for the guys. Both teams are now 1-1 on the year. The next competition will be 10/28 in Burnet for the Hoot-N-Holler Invitational.
