The Lady Tigers squads wrap up their 2017 regular season at Killeen on Tuesday evening.

JV sweeps Shoemaker in two games

The Belton Lady Tigers JV squad was sizzling on the court at Tiger Gym on Friday evening, as they swept the Killeen Shoemaker Lady Grey Wolves. The scores were 25-10 and 25-5.

“I told the girls after the game that I was most proud of them for playing consistently throughout the match,” Belton JV head coach Jordan Petter said. “Our passing greatly improved from our previous match, which allowed us to run an effective offense. Our serving, which we’ve struggled with throughout the season, was on point tonight. Passing and serving are the two basics in volleyball, and we executed well in both areas. We’re in a good spot heading into our last match of the season against Killeen.”

Freshman Red sweeps Shoemaker in two games

The Belton Lady Tigers Freshman Red team hosted the Killeen Shoemaker Lady Grey Wolves Freshman team at Belton High School’s Aux Gymnasium.

The Freshmen Red had no problems with the Lady Grey Wolves, winning in two games by the scores of 25-14 and 25-12.

“Red played very well tonight,” Belton Freshman head coach Amanda Dunaway said. “We have been working on our serves and our hitting this week and it showed. We are excited that we have excelled this season and look forward to our last game against Killeen.”
