All season long, the JV Red had showed signs of being a potentially potent offense.   Unfortunately for Killeen pitchers & fielders, the Tigers arrived & exploded for 41 runs (scoring in all 10 innings) & 35 base hits & a 2-game sweep of the Kangaroos on a very windy Thursday evening.

The highlight of the night for the Tigers did not come at the plate, but on the mound in Game 1.   Jace Stephen pitched a complete game, 5-inning no-hitter to dominate the Roos’ hitters.   He used only 56 pitches & had 1 walk & 7 Ks.

Recap: Unhittable pitching by Jace Stephen planted the seed of victory for the Tigers. The Tigers played error-free defense behind him & gave him 18 runs & 14 hits of offensive support.

Recap: The Tigers continue to roll in Game 2 with 21 hits & 23 runs vs the Roos. In one inning, the Red hit 3 triples to open the flood-gates & a commanding lead. Christian Castillo was home run away from hitting for the cycle. Tiger pitchers strike out 9 & walk 1.

 The JV Red is now 10-3 on the season & 4-0 in district. They will travel out west on Monday for a double-header vs San Angelo Central; game times are at 3 & 5pm.
