Girls Varsity Softball · Alina Holguin signs with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Alina is a one year letter for the softball program at Belton High School. She is not only an accomplished athlete, but is an outstanding student as well. Alina came to Belton from Chapin High School in El Paso at the start of her senior year. She lettered for Chapin High School’s softball team in her junior season. During her junior season, she batted .408 in 52 plate appearances. She scored 17 runs, had 20 RBI’s, 3 doubles, 1 triple, and 2 homeruns. Chapin High School made it to the Regional Final during Alina’s junior season and she was named honorable mention all-district.

Here in Belton, Alina has proven herself to be a reliable outfielder and an excellent base runner. Thus far, Alina has compiled an on base percentage of .462 and has proven to be excellent on the base path in key situations.

Since moving to Belton, Alina has shown her abilities, not only on the field or court, but also in the classroom. She is currently ranked 84th in her class. Alina applied and has been accepted into the top Aerospace Engineering program in the country.   She is ready to continue her athletic career and education. Alina is excited to be an Eagle!
