On Wednesday May 23rd, at the Belton Athletic Complex, Zaria signed with Texas State University to continue her powerlifting career.
Zaria Hardy, a two-year letterman for the Lady Tiger Powerlifting Team, will be continuing her lifting career at Texas State University for the upcoming season. After an outstanding junior season in which she qualified for and competed at the 2017 Regional Meet, Zaria exploded into her senior year.
Zaria won first place in every regular season meet she competed in, as well as the “Top Lifter” award for lightweight divisions at the Bulldawg Invitational Powerlifting Meet in Copperas Cove.
Zaria continued her outstanding performance into the 2018 Regional Meet, winning first place in the 114 pound weight division. Zaria ended the season with a 7th place finish at the THSWPA State Meet in Waco and was Co-MVP of the 2018 Lady Tiger Powerlifting team. Zaria worked extremely hard to ensure that she performed at a championship level during her senior season, and her work ethic will certainly carry her to great success at the collegiate level as well.
