8th grade north football · NBMS Wins Two vs SBMS

The 8thgrade NBMS B team travelled to Tiger Stadium to take on SBMS.  The Tigers started off on offense moving the ball down the field before the Tigers threw an interception at the goal line.  The Tigers defense held tough and Connor Bartz picked off a pass at the SBMS 15 yd. line. The NBMS offense was unable to score. SBMS moved the ball until Chase Moore intercepted another pass.  Carson Hammond hit Banner Allman for a 15 yd. TD.  Miquel Herrera kicked the 2 pt. conversion. The Tigers defense was able to come up with another stop and give NBMS the ball. We marched down the field and Hammond scored from 7 yards out.  Herrera gave NBMS a 16-0 lead in the 2ndqtr. SBMS was able to get into the end zone to make the score 16-6. Connor Bartz scored on the next drive from 8 yds. out.  Nick Van Dusen kicked the 2 pt. try and gives the Tigers a 24-6 lead. Hammond again scored from 4 yds. out to push the score to 30-6. NBMS stays undefeated on the year with the victory. On offense Jason Janczak, Victor Rodriquez, Gabriel Granados, Aiden King and Shawn Sell led the Tigers with great offensive line play.  On defense the Tigers were led by Rocky Parker, Banner Allman, Chase Moore, Peyton Hanson who came up with a fumble recovery.  The Tigers will play LBMS next week at NBMS.


NBMS A team defeated SBMS 50 to 12 in a tough game Tuesday night in game that was much closer than the score indicated. The North got the scoring started on their opening drive when Slade Leblanc threw a 5 yard TD pass to Carter Smith. Leblanc added the PAT making the score 8 to 0 with 2 minutes off the clock. The North defense came up strong forcing a punt on Souths first possession with good plays by Jack Tabat and Brayden Bartlett. The North again drove the ball down the field quickly on the arm of Leblanc and finished the drive on a two yard TD run by Tabat. South Belton got on the board after a long 60 yard TD run by Mason Rahm making the score 16 to 6. On the ensuing kick off Leblanc return the ball 99 yards to answer the South score and making the score 24 to 6. The Leblanc kick off pinned the South on their own 1 yard line and resulted in a safety the next play making the score 26 to 6.   The North then took the ball and Tristan Robin exploded up the middle and ran the ball 55 yards to set the North up at the South 2 yard line. Robin then finished the drive on two yard TD run. Leblanc added the extra point making the score 34 to 12 at half time. The second half the North Defense came up big with good play from Jaydon Leza, Cole Jackson, Ty Jackson and Christian Kunz. . The North finished the scoring for the night on a explosive run by Daniel Hardin of 45 yards. The team was very excited that Hardin was able to return to playing after being out for the first part of the season. The North team will next play Lake Belton at NBMS next Tuesday night.
