Boys Freshman Football White · Freshman White Beats Ellison 7-0 in the Final Seconds

The Freshman White Tigers took on the Ellison Eagles on Thursday night.  The Tiger offense opened the night strong by driving the length of the field but were derailed by an interception in the end zone.  The Tiger defense played well all night, never letting Ellison get a long drive going.  The defense was lead by Parker Allman who had two interceptions.  Jayden Caldwell who had double digit tackles and Myles Byars who harassed the quarterback all night.  Early in the second quarter the Tiger offense suffered a big loss when starting quarterback Caleb Huff hurt his knee and left the game.  Amarion Withrow took his spot and the offense tried to get momentum going again.  Late in the fourth quarter found Ellison and Belton still tied at zero when one of Allman’s interceptions gave the offense the ball at midfield with 45 second left.  On the next play the Withrow completed the pass to Titus Nieves who took the ball down to the 42 yard line.  On the very next play Withrow finds a wide open Garrett Mooney for a 42 yard touchdown to take the lead with 22 second left in the game.  The Tigers would hold on to stay un-beaten on the year.  The Freshman White team will be back in action next Thursday on the road against Cedar Park at 5:30.
