Taylor Tubbs and the Tigers made short work of Harker Heights on Wednesday night winning 11-0. The game moved from Tuesday to Wednesday because of weather and the Tigers came out and put the game away immediately.
The Tigers led off the game with 3 runs in the Top of the 1st. Avery Drake would lead off with a walk and then score on a Maddison Parker single and that would prove to be the only run the Tigers would need.
Number 44 Tubbs, who pitched her first perfect game of her high school career; needed only 44 pitches to get the win. She needed 10 pitches in the first, 5 in the second, 8 in the third, 8 in the fourth and 12 in the fifth to get the win. Tubbs also had 5 strikeouts on the night.
Leading the team at the plate was Paige Nunes who went 3 for 3 with 3 doubles and 2 RBIs and Maddison Parker who also went 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs.
The Tigers are now 6-2 on the season and 2-0 in district play. They travel to Round Rock this weekend to play in a tournament and will continue district play next Tuesday against Shoemaker.
