Thursday, Sept 5, the Lake Belton Lady Tigers hosted their first home game of the season with some more cross town competition against South Belton Middle School.
7th grade B team showed improvement in their game and ability, and fought until the very end against South, but South Belton came out victorious. Player of the game was Aleeya Ferris for game improvement and Bailey for keep her team moving.
7th grade A team looked to roll on with a winning streak, beating South Belton in 2 sets, and going on to win the developmental set. South Belton did rally and fight with some close scores at 25-19, 26-24, but Lake Belton held on long enough to pull out the win. Players of the game were Aniya Victorian for a solid game and Tatum Vaughn for keeping her team energized and moving.
8th grade B team had a great night, making major improvements in their game. Every game was close at 19-25 and 18-25. They won their third developmental set with a score of 15-10. Christina Walker was player of the game for her serving, and Scarlett Finch for keeping us in the game with her hustle.
8A had a tough night as South brought the heat, they fought hard but were unable to break through Souths serving, taking a loss in the end. South came through with a strong victory at 25-7, and 25-8. Player of the game was Austin Inman for making great sets for us to have a few good attacks.
