Girls 7th Grade Volleyball LB, Girls 8th Grade Volleyball LB · LBMS VOLLEYBALL TAKES ON THE LADY MUSTANGS

The 7th grade A team travelled to Travis Science Academy on Thursday to battle with the Mustangs.  The Tigers knew it would be a back and forth game, but showed up ready to play.  The first set went in our favor behind the aggressive serving of Natalie Maldonado, 12 points served, and scrappy net play of the front row. The Tigers got off to a sluggish start in the second set, but came back with consistent serving from Kali Mayberry, 10 points, and great hustle from the whole team. We on the match in 2 sets and learned that when we stay focused on the task at hand we can get the job done.  Great job Lady Tigers!

Travis would battle back and both teams would go point for point in the first set until Lake finally came out on top, winning their first set of the season. Travis came back with a fire inside for the second set but Lake was already on a roll. As they neared the end of the set, Travis came out with a hustle and took the set at 25-22.
