JV Red Tigers Drop the Final Game of Their Season
The JV Red Belton Tiger Football team took on the Midway Panthers tonight at Midway. The Tigers stumbled all night with costly mistakes and miss execution that ended their season 42-7. The Tigers come out stumbling on offense that set up great field position for the Panthers. On the second drive the Tigers found their stride with a big push from the offensive line and great run by Maurice Reed to set up a score for the Tigers. After that drive the Tigers could not find their rhythm.
The Tigers had 165 yards of total offense with 64 yards of the offensive production on the arm of quarterback Joe Ramirez and the rest of the Tigers receiving crew (John Morris, BJ Thompson, Garrison Lane, Scott Gurnett, Joseph Knox, and Jason Bonnett). The Tiger’s rushing attack had 101 yards on the ground. Maurice Reed and Michael Smith both had hard runs all night behind the Tiger’s O-Line. The JV Red defense displayed grit against serval tough situations all night. The Tigers defense was led by Lazlo Psolka who recorded a game high 8 tackles. The Tigers end the season 4-5 and 3-4 in district play. The Tigers would like to thank all of their supporters throughout the season.
