Lady Tiger Soccer closed out the final night of its final tournament on Saturday night versus Vista Ridge HS. Saturday night turned out to be a beautiful night to play soccer although the result did not go in favor of Lady Tiger Soccer.
Lady Tiger Soccer was able to put plenty of pressure on the Vista Ridge goal with Rachel Mahan pinging a 30 yard shot off the VR crossbar midway through the 2nd half. Kirsten Bush was later able to dribble by VR defenders but her shot off of the post kept the score at 0-0.
Vista Ridge was able to break the deadlock with 15 minutes left in the 2nd half when one of their wingers shot/crossed a ball that bounced awkwardly in front and beyond Belton goalkeeper Katelyn Chrisman.
“Overall I am very pleased with how our team is progressing. We played some good teams this weekend and while our record was 1 win/1 loss/1 tie over the weekend, the effort and progress is in stride with where we need to be with district play starting on Tuesday.”
