The Lake Belton B team Tigers hosted the Midway Panthers at LBMS. The game was tight through out the first half. The score at the end of the first half was 12-4, and the halftime score was 18-8. Midway led at the end of the both. Starting the third quarter off slow, Midway built a ten point lead heading into the fourth quarter. The score was 21-11. Lake went cold in the fourth quarter and scored 0 points. The final score was Midway 39 and Lake 11. The players of the game were Scout Hall with 6 points, Ramon Morales with 3 points. Defensive standouts were Casey Hart, Kooper Hobson, and Wyatt Butler. Lake would finish the season with 10 total wins and 3 losses.
The last game of the season for the A team was a tale of two halves. The Lake Belton boys played one of their best two quarters of basketball in the first half. Matching the intensity and offensive output of the tough Midway Panthers. At half time the Tigers would trail 19-16. The second half of the game was a different story. The Panthers put up a solid third and fourth quarter while the Tigers made numerous mistakes that ended with points for Midway. Final score for the game was 55-29 in favor of Midway. Players of the game were Micah Hudson with 15 points, and Ja’uan Gossett with 7 points.
