Girls Freshman Volleyball White · Learn as you go: Freshman White continues to improve in loss to East View

The Belton Tiger Freshmen White Volleyball team hosted East View’s Freshman White squad at Tiger Gym on Tuesday afternoon.

Although the Tigers did not lead in the match, the team continued to show signs of improvement as they were swept by the Patriots.

The scores were 25-21 and 25-8

East View jumped out to a 6-0 lead early before Belton broke serve and got points from Addison Cook and Sa’Deja Ellis to get the Tigers on the board.

Two aces by Rylie Burgman was sandwiched around a block by Yuliana Rodriguez to rally the Tigers in the middle part of the opening game.

The Patriots built an eight-point lead before a late 9-5 Belton push closed the gap to four points at the end of the first game.

Cook served the opening point before the Patriots marched away from the Tigers. East View had a match closing run of 16-4 to take the series in two games.

Belton will host Stony Point on Friday at Tiger Gym.
