Girls Basketball Important Information – First Day of School

Girls basketball will begin practicing in the athletic period on Tuesday, August 20th.  You will bring your own basketball shorts, t-shirt and basketball shoes for the first week or so.  You will also need to to bring tennis shoes to run in.  All 10th-12th grades will be practice in 5th period.  All 9th graders will

Mentor 4th and 5th grade students

  Belton Basketball players are given the great opportunity to mentor students at Chisholm Trail Elementary on Thursday mornings from 7:15 to 7:45.  The athletes talk to 4th and 5th graders about choices, work ethic, and the importance of doing well with their school work.  The students ask questions and everyone seems to enjoy the

High School GIRLS Free Physicals

All Belton high school female athletes have the opportunity to receive a free physical on May 7th beginning at 5:00 pm at the Belton Tiger Fieldhouse.  Any girl that is currently in the 8th grade is allowed to come to the free physical as well, just make sure you have the medical history form filled

H.O.T. Academic Basketball game

    The all academic committee from the Heart of Texas selected 4 Belton girls to play in the 3rd annual academic basketball game on April 6th at Waco High.  Belton was well represented by Natasha Blizzard, Presleigh York, Jerrisha Rice, and Elisa Priddy.  Their were girls from many of our district high schools, Temple,

Middle Basketball League

      Coaching is a little more stressful than imagined by some players.   The Belton Middle school basketball girls are playing games on Monday night at the high school from 5:00 pm to 9:00 on April 15 and 22.  We finished the first set of games this week and witnessed some great competition.

Girls Basketball: Freshman notch win while JV falls to Harker Heights

On Friday the JV and Freshman Girls hosted Harker Heights.  The JV opened the first quarter with a 13-1 lead but couldn’t hang on and lost 41-33.  Leading the team was Campbell Burnett with 9 points. The Freshman started fast and got a 32-22 win.  Leading the team was Ayanna Jones with 13 points. Both
